30-3-2011 Toetsweek

Hahahaha.

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful girl with overflowing curly hair, named Mia. Mia does not exactly live in a miracle. Her father died, her brother died and her house burned down last week. Mia has nobody but her mom to live with. Mia’s mother has not been very kind lately, she is very sad and desperate. She is crying all day, asking people where to go and what to do. Their money burned, just like the photographs and memories they had from the loved ones they lost. Mia is worried about her mom, and the situation itself. She doesn’t know where to go either.
Lonely, Mia is sitting down the street, thinking about the moment their house burned to the ground. The beautiful dress her father gave to her, is something she risked her life for. Mia’s mother was looking for Mia, through the flames. Mia was nowhere to be seen... Mia’s mom broke down and didn’t know what to do at that moment, she didn’t want to lose her daughter too. At the moment Mia’s mom was ready to give up and just lie down, she felt a hand on her shoulder. It was Mia, asking if someone had seen her dress. Mia’s mom desperately grabbed Mia and dragged her along to a safe place. It didn’t feel like they made it. Mia’s dress was gone, and Mia felt like her dad died again.

It’s getting dark outside, and Mia is getting cold. She wanted to stand up and go home, but she didn’t have one. She decided to take a walk, maybe that would make her feel better.
At the end of the street, she saw her mom. Mia did not believe her eyes. Her mom was talking with something she had never seen before, something big. It looked like a horse, but it wasn’t. She wasn’t sure about getting closer, but she definitely didn’t want to miss this. What could she lose? She had nothing. She came closer and her eyes almost fell out, there is a unicorn talking to my mom!
They talked for hours. The unicorn is from Venus, she says. She watched and haunted the family for a while now, and she felt sorry for them. There is something big, the unicorn wants to share with them. She didn’t tell any human creature yet, but they deserve to know.
“Do you know that magical pool? It’s not far away from here. Jump on my back, please. I’ll take you there.” Mia and her mom had no doubt, they had nothing to lose. They jumped on her back, and she flew away. This trip was magical, they are flying above the city in the moonlight, sparkles everywhere. They didn’t even notice the unicorn was going to land. Once landed, it all looked like a fairytale. “Jump off, please.” Mia sees the pool and is slowly walking up to it. She looked down, and she can’t believe it… Her brother Drew and her father are right in front of her eyes. It’s like a mirror, she is able to see herself. Her mother is standing next to her now, they are complete. Mia smiles, and there is a tooth falling out. Drew is laughing at her; “Go to the dentist, sister.” Mia slaps him in the face and screaming “If I were an entrepreneur, I would!”
The unicorn arrived at the pool, she has to say something important. They all turn their happy faces towards the unicorn. “If you want to be together again, please step into the pool. But I must warn you. There is no way back, and you have to make your choice right now! I know it’s hard.” Mia and her mom grab each other’s hand and jump into the pool, without saying a word.
And they lived happily ever after.
